This low carb cottage cheese pizza is such a delicious high protein recipe and also a keto- friendly twist on a normal traditional pizza.

This recipe creates a surprisingly delicious and satisfying pizza using cottage cheese as the base, keeping it low in carbs and calories and still giving the exact same flavour of a normal traditional pizza Just to keep you right on track of your calorie intake.

Ingredients Needed

  • Cottage cheese : we’ll be using a low fat Cottage cheese I personally used Daisy low fat Cottage cheese. (If you have a low fat cheese Cottage cheese but a different brand it still works fine).
  • Large egg : 1 large egg is what we’ll be using
  • Garlic Powder: any garlic powder of your choice is fine i used.
  • Onion Powder: you could get this at a nearby grocery store.
  • Pepper and salt: to add some taste to the pizza.
  • Toppings: any toppings foe the low-carb pizza I made some suggestions below.

Low Carb Toppings Suggestions:

  • Sugar-free pizza sauce : use sparingly, it adds a tomato based flavor without extra sugar.
  • mushrooms : adding slices of mushrooms adds a savory element to the cottage cheese pizza.
  • bell peppers : using some chopped bell pepper helps provide a lot of sweetness and color.
  • onions : they should be thinly sliced to add a short flavor to it.
  • spinach : just a a little or handful would be great.
  • pepperoni : do make sure to add in moderation it adds flavor and sweetness to it but increases calories so do make sure to check the calories
  • Grated Mozzarella Cheese : I used a part-skim Mozzarella because its low in calories and its a great option.

How To Make Low-Carb Cottage Cheese Pizza

Step 1

preheat your oven to 375°f (190°c)

Step 2

in a small bowl i need you you to combine he cottage cheese, the egg ( or the egg white if preferred ) garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper, mix it well thoroughly until combined properly.

Step 3

press the cottage cheese mixture into a thin even layer on a small baking sheet lined with the parchment paper or lightly greased it should give like a round form it does not have to be perfect just let it give the shape of a regular pizza or however you like it in shape but be careful not to make a mess.

Step 4

now bake the crust for 20-30 minutes until its firm and slightly golden around the edges.

Step 5

after baking, remove the crust out of the oven and spread your toppings and add your favorite low-carb pizza toppings I suggested or your choice ( keep in mindset that too much of additional toppings ads to the calories )

Step 6

bake again for and additional 10-13 minutes or until the crust is set and lightly browned and the cheese is melted and bubbly at the top of the pizza

Step 7

let the pizza cool slightly before serving and slicing and there you have it enjoy your tasty low carb cottage cheese pizza.

Tips And Suggestions

  • drain the excess water off the cottage cheese if watery this helps to prevent the crust from being too soggy.
  • feel free to get more creative with toppings of your choice or ones I suggested.

Instructions

  • spread the mixture evenly onto the preheated baking sheet or pizza pan spread it into like a regular pizza shape or to your desired form
  • now bake the crust for 20-30 minutes until its firm and slightly golden around the edges
  • after baking remove the crust out of the oven and spread your toppings or toppings suggested
  • bake again for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the crust is set and lightly browned and the cheese is melted and bubbly
